Hitchens raised some good questions that aren't necessarily irrelevant now just because the inauguration is over. What exactly is Obama's angle? And as Hitchens says, "Barack Obama is gradually learning, his job is to be the president of all Americans at all times." This I think is the key to why option #1 in the poll must be correct.
